Last Saturday I got on that boat for the first time in Leith Harbour, Edinburgh :-) There was a gig happening . An Edinburgh based music band called Basic Funk was playing its songs. I have to admit they really played cool beats, since it's Funk Music. Event photography indeed!

It was such a great opportunity to capture their emotions and expressions which just cannot be repeated. Just unique moments caught by my eye! I love observing people and their actions, well interactions with the surroundings and in that case it was the funky music, their own music that made them feel every single note played. It's what I really enjoy doing - capturing the atmosphere!

Basic Funk is a 5 member group with the female singer and 4 men playing the keyboard, drums, bass and guitar. You can find them on Myspace or Facebook. They describe themselves as: funk music combined with rock and soul, which means unforgettable musical mixture! A local Edinburgh band.
