Many people are surprised to learn that the University of Edinburgh offers some beautiful and unique wedding venues. One of the best-kept secrets is St Leonard's Hall, located within the grounds of Pollock Halls and just a short walk from Arthur's Seat.
Set within a historic mansion, St Leonard's Hall offers an elegant and character-filled setting for a wedding in the heart of Edinburgh. With its grand architecture, wood-panelled interiors, impressive artwork, and traditional atmosphere, it feels more like a private country house than a city wedding venue.
This wedding was full of laughter, happy faces, and wonderful energy from beginning to end. Both the ceremony and reception took place at St Leonard's Hall, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the celebrations in one beautiful location.
One of the things I love most about this venue is its location. Surrounded by the University grounds and sitting right beside Arthur's Seat, it offers couples a unique combination of historic architecture and some of Edinburgh's most iconic scenery.
As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I always enjoy discovering venues that offer both beautiful interiors and great opportunities for natural wedding photography. St Leonard's Hall certainly delivers on both.
It was a pleasure to document this joyful wedding day and capture all the laughter, emotion, and unforgettable moments shared between family and friends.
