Not far away from Edinburgh there is a little town called Aberlady. I had one of the after wedding photo shoots arranged over there since the scenery is really unique! Driving along (almost) the coast from Edinburgh, you can stop and go bird watching, have not done that yet! 0r you can just cross that bridge and go through the dunes to the beach.
