The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh was the perfect setting for this beautiful outdoor wedding. Surrounded by lush greenery, peaceful ponds, and colourful planting, it remains one of Edinburgh's most romantic wedding venues.
The day began with a few relaxed photographs at the bride's flat before we made our way to the gardens for the outdoor ceremony. Family and friends gathered amongst the beautiful surroundings to celebrate the couple's marriage, followed by a drinks reception overlooking the gardens.
The Chinese Hillside, one of the most enchanting areas within the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. With its winding pathways, oriental planting, waterfall, and tranquil pond full of goldfish, it feels like a hidden world tucked away in the heart of the city.
One of the things I love most about the Botanic Gardens is the incredible variety of backdrops available for wedding photography. From intimate garden paths and mature trees to beautiful seasonal planting and the occasional curious Scottish squirrel, there is always something new to discover.
As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I am always drawn to venues that allow couples to relax and enjoy their day while surrounded by nature. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh remains one of the city's most sought-after wedding venues, offering beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces and stunning gardens throughout the year.
It was a pleasure to document this lovely celebration and capture these memories in one of Edinburgh's most beautiful locations.
