Hidden behind elegant Georgian terraces in the heart of Edinburgh, Queen Street Gardens feels like a secret escape from the city. Access is normally reserved for local residents, making it one of the most exclusive and peaceful green spaces in Edinburgh.

Located directly opposite the Royal Scots Club, the gardens provide a beautiful and unexpected setting for wedding photography. Once through the gates, you are surrounded by mature trees, winding paths, and a sense of tranquillity that feels a world away from the busy city streets just beyond.

This wedding was a joy to photograph. The combination of the Royal Scots Club and Queen Street Gardens offered the perfect balance of historic architecture and natural surroundings, creating wonderful variety throughout the day. Beneath the trees and amongst the greenery, we captured relaxed and intimate photographs that felt both timeless and uniquely Edinburgh.

One of the things I love most about Queen Street Gardens is the atmosphere it brings to wedding photography. The gardens provide a calm and private setting, allowing couples to enjoy a quiet moment together while creating natural photographs away from the crowds.

As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I am always looking for locations that add character and personality to a wedding story. Queen Street Gardens is one of those rare places that combines the beauty of nature with the elegance and history of Edinburgh's New Town.
