Have you ever been to Traquair House wedding? Located in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders, it’s not only the oldest inhabited house in Scotland but also a unique wedding venue. It’s not exactly a castle, but a mansion built in fortified style. Built in 12th century, originally Traquair House was a hunting lodge for Scottish kings and queens.
As a wedding photographer I am always excited to discover new places and document weddings in beautiful surroundings. It was a great day not only for bride and groom and all their guests but also for myself. It was not my first wedding there but I am always happy to go back to the Traquair House which is a perfect spot for documentary wedding photography.
Bride and groom were fantastic to work with, photographing such a great couple was simply a pleasure. Wedding ceremony was held in one of the gardens, superb location and settings. Most of all,a very relaxed feel of the whole wedding that makes the wedding photos look natural and artful. Guests were roaming through the gardens and enjoying themselves.
It was great watching everyone having really good time on that lovely sunny day, filled with fun and laughter. See the photos below!
