Corstorphine Hill is one of Edinburgh's hidden gems for couple photography. With its woodland paths, mature trees, open clearings, and peaceful atmosphere, it offers a beautiful escape from the busy city streets while still being conveniently located within Edinburgh.

Although I had admired the hill from a distance for years, this session gave me the perfect opportunity to explore it properly for the first time. I quickly discovered why it is such a popular spot for walkers, runners, dog owners, and nature lovers. The woodland setting provides a wonderful variety of natural backdrops, making it an excellent location for relaxed and authentic couple portraits.

I met this lovely couple on a mild Edinburgh afternoon, and after a slightly amusing start trying to find each other amongst the various paths and clearings, we set off to explore the hill together. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to create natural photographs while enjoying a walk through the woods.

As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I particularly enjoy outdoor locations such as Corstorphine Hill. The changing seasons, beautiful textures of the woodland, and soft natural light create endless opportunities for creative photography. Every visit offers something different, whether it's the fresh greens of spring, the rich colours of autumn, or the soft light filtering through the trees.
