This beautiful autumn wedding at Teviot Row House in Edinburgh felt more like a summer celebration. Warm sunshine, blue skies, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere made it a perfect day to gather family and friends together in the heart of the city.
Located just beside Bristo Square, Teviot Row House is one of Edinburgh's most unique wedding venues. Its historic architecture, grand interiors, and hidden rooftop terrace create a fantastic setting for a wedding that feels both elegant and relaxed.
The celebrations took place within this character-filled building, where guests enjoyed drinks and conversations on the balcony while soaking up the unexpected Scottish sunshine. From the historic interiors to the outdoor spaces overlooking the city, there was plenty of variety for natural and documentary-style wedding photography throughout the day.
What I loved most about this wedding was how relaxed everything felt. There was no rushing, no stress — just family and friends enjoying the occasion and celebrating with the couple. Those are always the moments I enjoy photographing most: genuine laughter, conversations between guests, and all the little interactions that tell the real story of the day.
As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I love venues that offer both character and atmosphere, and Teviot Row House certainly delivers both. It was a pleasure to document such a joyful celebration in one of Edinburgh's most distinctive city-centre wedding venues.
